Just because someone gets punched in the face, that does not make them an expert. Or even smart.
Like James Addlespurger. If you have seen any of the recent news coverage on the Knockout Game, you have seen Addlespurger. He was walking down an alley in Pittsburgh last year when he came face to face with six black people.
One of them punched him in the head: He was out cold before he landed face-first on the concrete gutter. They ran.
Now the grainy, black and white security video is seemingly everywhere. The O’Reilly Factor. All the network news and local stations too. Addlespurger is the poster boy for the Knockout Game. But he does not want any part of it.
Appearing on the HuffPost Live, Addlespurger said he believes he is being manipulated by sinister conservative commentators like Bill O’Reilly and others who have pointed out that most of the attackers in the Knockout Game are black. Most of the victims are not.
“I work with kids every day. As a public school teacher for 20 years. I understand that kids are troubled. But to stereotype and go down that avenue, I am not going to fan those flames of hatred.”
The Knockout Game is a “faux trend,” said HuffPost Live, in part because the person who punched Addlespurger in the face said so on ABC’s Nightline.
Addlespurger is not the only victim of racial violence in the Pittsburgh area. Though there is no indication he ever checked.
If he had, he would have found that, 30 miles away, there was no video when a mob of black people attacked Washington & Jefferson College running back Timothy McNerney just a few weeks after his attack. He died.
From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: “We don’t have a very detailed description other than that there were several males, and that the majority of them if not all of them are black males,” according to Detective Dan Staneck of the Washington police.
Addlespurger is not even the only teacher whose beating was caught on video in Pittsburgh. Just a few weeks before, another security video caught another black mob beating another Pittsburgh teacher.
They punched him, chased him, punched him some more, and pushed him into the street where he was almost run over by a car. This teacher did not want his name released, so maybe Addlespurger was not aware of this.
Or how about the four football players from Pitt who were arrested last November for spontaneously assaulting a few white students on campus.
Since he did not get the examples so close to home, it is probably not reasonable to expect he would have read about the St. Louis judge who said the Knockout Game is prevalent there, that one man alone is responsible for more than 300 assaults.
Sherry Godfrey did not know much about the Knockout Game either. That’s not the kind of thing that people expect in Springfield, Missouri — hometown of Brad Pitt. But that is what happened to her son last year. And several others.
“They did not leave a calling card saying they were playing Knockout,” Godfrey said. “But all the attacks are vicious and spontaneous just like the other cases of the Knockout Game.”
Addlesperger could have talked to Roan Ciardi. After reading in WND about a case of the Knockout Game in Rochester earlier this summer, Ciardi wrote of his own experience with it:
“The same day, around 4 p.m., my son called me from a friend’s house with his voice shaking as he described to me EXACTLY what I had just read about in Flaherty’s article.”
“Knockout Game,” welcome to Rochester. I just ordered these cops a copy of “White Girl Bleed a Lot: The return of racial violence to America and how the media ignore it.” They need it – as does every cop and every reporter in America.
Paul Lane is another victim on the Knockout Game. Here again, the alleged perpetrator did not issue a press release announcing his participation in the game from November.
“I’m a 58-year-old white man who work(ed) as a ‘liberal librarian’ in Northern California,” he said. “Not your typical WND reader, but as a research librarian I read a lot of news sources. And this attack was exactly the way you describe in your book and articles. Exactly the same.”
Unlike Addlespurger, Lane is keeping an eye on all the media coverage the Knockout Game is receiving all over the country. He has a hard time believing what he is reading – and hearing.
“I listen to left-wing radio,” he says. “And I could not believe it when I heard my favorite radio personality – Stephanie Miller – say the Knockout Game does not exist. That’s crazy.”
Addlespurger is a teacher. A blues musician. A self-described positive person. His willingness to overlook the racial violence perpetrated on him is not new to Marlin Newburn, who recently retired after 30 years as a prison psychologist and court appointed counselor.
Addlespurger’s willingness to empathize with his attackers might seem like the Stockholm Syndrome to some. But Newburn said it is more accurately called Masochistic Altruism:
This is a better way to describe the teacher and other victimized deniers of the knockout game. Stockholm Syndrome is a pathological attachment to an aggressor as a reaction to terror over time. With Masochistic Altruism, one can sustain a thoroughly false sense of nobility as they take their occasional beating. It’s not being dishonest, it’s a pathology, a psychological illness.
This is in line with people who are codependent, which, although an officially non-psychology recognized pathology, means a person will take abuse from a dominant person or people in the belief they can change them for the better. These people have very low levels of self-worth thus they choose a person or people they believe lower than they are on the human scale. In this effort, they believe themselves as “great and good.”
What these apologists are doing is enabling and empowering their attackers, and that means there will be more victims. That’s guaranteed.”
Others point out that some are hesitant to talk about the race of their attackers because they fear becoming victimized once again: This time as a racist.
But Addlespurger’s story is that race had nothing to do with the violence against him. And he is sticking to it.
As a teacher, Addlespurger must know that Pittsburgh area schools are also the scene of frequent black mob violence.
In January, for two days, 70 black students – and some parents – were punching, kicking, and terrorizing themselves and neighbors near Woodland Hills High School in Swissvale, a suburb of Pittsburgh. Some of the violence was “too graphic for WTAE news to show in its entirety.”
Swissvale police chief Greg Geppert said it was a “riot.”
In March 2010, 11 black students were arrested after earlier riot at the same school. Two police officers were injured. Several students blamed the riots on police and security guards.
After 30 years and thousands of cases, Newburn has seen the face of racial violence — old and young. It is not pretty. Nor widely talked about.
To people who practice this type of racial violence, all non-blacks are the enemy since they were weaned on the idea that whites/Asians/Hispanics/Martians were “keeping my people down.”
They may be functionally illiterate, and I have yet to meet one that wasn’t, but their older family members or people in their neighborhood along with the popular culture drove that early message into their skulls.
They believe that they have some black toxic-tribal license to attack, and the more brutal, the more “down with the struggle” they are. The degree of viciousness also demonstrates just how manly (or womanly) they are. In other words, the more sadistic, the higher the social and personal power status.
It’s also great street cred for them, the sacred status for assaulting the all-pervasive and imaginary white power structure, and in regard to Asians and Hispanics, those people are just “takin’ jobs” from them.
The people who practice this kind of racial violence — like the Knockout Game — have imaginary, social injustice tags as legitimate reasons to assault all non-blacks.
To say the black assaults on non-blacks isn’t racist is a blatant lie. Black predators are racist to the bone.
Newburn does not expect to see Addlespurger on his office couch any time soon. He is working it out on his own. Playing music. Teaching. But Addlespurger does have one parting message abut people who might think twice about visiting downtown Pittsburgh because of the threat of racial violence. As he told HuffPo Live:
“People who live in this violent city of Pittsburgh should feel safe going down there.”

It would be so easy for Attorney General Holder to make the ornery Christian Adams eat crow. Instead, Holder seems determined to prove him right.
Adams is the former Justice Department lawyer who told Congress that his colleagues treated cases of racial bias against white people with “open contempt.”
Most famously, the case of electoral intimidation against two members of the New Black Panther Party who brandished weapons and issued threats at a Philadelphia polling booth the day Barack Obama was elected president.
This is the same New Black Panther Party that issued a $10,000 reward for the capture of George Zimmerman, dead or alive. The same party that said they wanted to mobilize 10,000 black men to bring Zimmerman to justice. “He should be fearful for his life,” said a party leader.
One of the 10,000 men, apparently, is Holder. This week, Holder told several national news outlets he was still trying to figure out how to indict Zimmerman for hate crimes — even though a jury found him not guilty of attempted murder.
Even though he has been trying for two years.
Adams documented the racial bias in the Department of Justice with his best selling book, Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department.
“If Holder really were interested in enforcing civil rights laws for all Americans, he would be able to produce cases that shows he is doing just that,” Adams said. “But he cannot. Because he is not.”
There are plenty of recent cases of race-based violence that Holder can choose from. A sampling.
In Brooklyn a few weeks ago, ten black people surrounded a car, then beat the two white occupants, a husband and wife. They even called them racial names, as in “Get those crackers” and “get that white whore.” All in front of witnesses in the middle of the day.
The Brooklyn DA says he will not file hate crime charges.
In New Haven, a few days before that, 500 black people attending a party called “An All Black Affair,” destroyed property and rioted in a downtown restaurant. Then outside. Then in two more restaurants. Not only are there no hate crime charges, New Haven police did not arrest anyone for anything during these rampages.
Race was the central organizing feature of the party — and the riot.
A few days before that in St. Paul, a car full of black people robbed and assaulted a white woman. They called her a “white bitch” while holding her down so one of the assailants could urinate on her.
A few days before that in Tacoma, a car full of black people shouted racial expletives at white two soldiers. Soon one soldier was dead from a knife. No hate crime charges have been filed.
A few days before that in Pittsburgh, a group of black people pulled a white woman from her car, and while beating her, yelled Shut up white [expletive].’ The other said, ‘Get that white [expletive].”
A few days before that in Cleveland, mobs of black people were targeting gay bars and assaulting the patrons — verbally and physically — over a several week period. CNN anchor said being gay was just about the worst thing that a black person can be.
Now made even worse by an attorney general who will not prosecute hate crimes against gay people — some of whom are black.
In Iowa, yes Iowa, hordes of black people beat white people in and out of the Iowa State Fair for three nights in a row in 2011. A police report says some of the people involved were chanting “Beat Whitey Night.” It only takes a few magic words to turn a vicious assault into a federal hate crime. And that seems to fit the bill.
Nothing from Holder.
The same thing happened a few weeks later at the Milwaukee State Fair: Except this anti-white riot played itself out in public when local media broadcast the panicked 911 calls of black people beating and terrorizing white people. One call they have not heard in Milwaukee: The Attorney General’s call for the enforcement of hate crimes against white people.
That same summer, in Wisconsin, a group of 50 to 100 black people looted a store — all on video. Soon they came upon a few white kids at a nearby park. They beat them badly. At one point, a black woman was standing over a white woman and she motioned to her friends to look down at the ground. “White girl bleed a lot,” she said. Laughing. They laughed too.
This is is a very long land very recent list. Many of the cases of racial violence are documented in White Girl Bleed a Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore It. The books lists more than 500 examples of racial violence in more than 100 cities. And how the press ignores, condones and even denies it.
Some are hate crimes because they use the language hate crime laws require. Some are not, but are still explicitly racial. Either way, it is a target rich environment for a Justice Department that so far, seems oddly unwilling to follow federal hate crime laws — if that is, the victims are white. And the perpetrators are black.
Just like that ornery Christian Adams said.
Dear Mr. Flaherty,
I’m a policeman in XXXXX, California. I’ve seen black mob violence for 23 years.as far as I can remember you’re the first one to actually bring it up in the media.

Get it here:
For the aficionado of racial violence, a white riot is the Holy Grail: So often talked about, but so rare, some doubt it even exists.
This is in contrast to the epidemic of more than 500 cases of recent black mob violence in more than 100 cities — documented in the new book White Girl Bleed a Lot: The return of racial violence and how the media ignore it.
On a recent Jesse Lee Peterson radio show, a caller disputed the idea that black mob violence exists out of proportion. White people are just as guilty, she said. It’s just they never get arrested.
That is why so many people were so excited at news of the recent “riot” at the University of Delaware: Finally a white riot. Finally, on video.
The occasion was a beer blast at the home of a few members of the school rugby team. On hand to film the bacchanalia were members of the Schmacked TV production crew. They specialize in capturing drunken hijinks on college campuses then showing it on MTV and later selling the videos.
In September, it was Delaware’s turn. And if acting the fool after drinking a few beers was against the law, there is no doubt this was a civil disturbance of epic proportions.
The New York Daily News gave it the full fire-alarm treatment: “University of Delaware students rampage at riot party.” ABC national news could not decide if it was a riot or a near-riot, but it did report some garbage cans got destroyed and some students were walking on people’s lawns. They called that trespassing. Other network affiliates in Philadelphia breathlessly followed suit.
But the video tapes reveal a milder story. This “riot” had major league numbers, with 3,000 students running, jumping, laughing, and stopping traffic on the main street of this Newark college town.
But the violence was non-existent and and criminality was strictly minor league. Especially when compared with some recent black mob violence.
The “riot” began when the off-campus party ended: Soon after, students filled the internet with videos of party-goers dancing on cars. Yes, that left a few dents.
But unlike a recent episode of black mob violence in a Chicago suburb in February, no drivers were attacked. Nobody threw a looted chair from a nearby vandalized store and broke the window of an SUV trapped in traffic.
Much of the mayhem and violence from the 500 black people in that episode was captured on video.
No one was arrested. Neither did it make ABC evening news.
There were no fights or stabbings at the University of Delaware “riot.” Especially if you exclude tussling for free beer.
Not like a recent episode of mob violence over the weekend at the black Virginia State University. There, hundreds of black students roamed the campus — fighting, destroying property. One person was stabbed.
One student told the CBS affiliate “it was nothing but chaos.” Another told 8 News he saw a “riot, just commotion.” Another said the mob was moving from one area of the campus to another, leaving destruction in its wake. Finally, police locked down the entire campus for 12 hours.
A warrant has been issued for the alleged stabber. As for the others, no one was arrested. Nothing, so far, from ABC news hound Diane Sawyer.
Neither was the University of Delaware mayhem anything like the huge brawl featuring 200 black students at a party at Central State University in Ohio last May. On video.
Several police officers were attacked. Two students went to the hospital. One person was arrested.
Neither did the Delaware mayhem compare to the huge fight at the black Livingston College in North Carolina last Spring. There, local news stations report 300 black people fought and destroyed property at a campus party. Two people were arrested.
Neither did the Delaware party-goers resemble the crowd at a University of Southern California party last spring. There, 400 black students did not like it when a police officer showed up at 2 a.m. to tell them their party had to end. Or least the music did.
They ignored the cop.
Then started throwing bottles and other objects at him. Soon after 80 police were in the streets in riot gear. The party ended after a few people were forcibly detained. Six black people were arrested.
At the University of Delaware, school officials banned the rubgy team for five years — the death penalty for the program. Two members of the team hosted the party, but it was not an official team function.
At USC, no one got banned. Instead, school officials held a community forum to hear students accuse the school of wrong doing: Racial profiling and and other racial abuse at this exclusive college also known as the University of Spoiled Children.
Makiah Green is a USC student who put it all in perspective — the school and the police were to blame:
I had flashbacks to an era I wasn’t even alive to suffer through. I was too scared to go outside, legitimately fearing that an officer would see me and arrest me for being Black and inquisitive.
I can only imagine how my peers felt when they saw over twenty LAPD patrol cars pull up and release 79 officers to end a peaceful, congratulatory party.
It is inexpressibly disheartening to hear fellow students recount horror stories of police brutality two weeks away from being among the first in my family to graduate from a four-year university. To know that my college degree holds no weight in the face of institutional racism and discrimination is sobering.
Today, despite the back-breaking, mind-destroying, soul-sapping institutional racism at USC, Makiah managed to overcome: She is a first year graduate student in a professional writing program. At USC.
The University of Delaware “riot” did not feature any violence directed at the police — unlike the September episode of black mob violence in the Rochester suburb of Irondequoit. There, 500 black people fought in — and outside of — a movie theater.
Several rioters attacked police, requiring use of a baton to subdue them. After the riot ended, police packed the violent mob in city buses for a trip — not to jail — but home to Rochester.
One person was detained and released, said WHAM TV news. But no one was arrested.
It is rare for anyone to be arrested in most of the examples of black mob violence documented in White Girl Bleed a Lot. At one Philadelphia high school, the principal said she did not report large scale black mob violence directed at Asian students over a several year period because she did not want to “criminalize” the students.
And besides, she said, the Asian students antagonized the black students by not knowing anything about black culture.
In Chicago earlier this year, nine black people were arrested for attacking two white people with a “sockful of locks” in a commuter train crowded with witnesses. A staffer for district attorney later dropped all charges.
In New Haven earlier this month, 500 black people attending an “All Black Affair” fought in and out of the party. And when they finished in front of one venue, they moved to another, where police had to stop the violence there. Then another, where police had to stop the violence there.
No one was arrested. Police said they were focusing on crowd control instead.
At a Baltimore skating rink, a mob of as many as 900 black people fought and destroyed property in and out of the facility, including several nearby businesses.
The dozens of examples of black mob violence connected to the rink over the last yaer range from throwing bricks through police car windows to vandalizing the Denny’s restaurant next door. The violence includes beating clerks and stealing merchandise from a nearby convenience store, fighting with police, jumping on cars – breaking windows and ruining paint – and much, much more.
Two people were arrested at the latest violence in August.
Nothing from ABC national news on that one. But ABC did tell the nation that several Blue Hens were accused of urinating in public.
But at least it was not part of an assault and robbery, as was a recent case in St. Paul, Minnesota earlier this month.
There a white woman reported a car full of black people stopped and asked her for directions. They grabbed her hair, pushed her down, stole her phone, and before fleeing, they held here down, removed her pants, and one of the men urinated on her.
One man has been arrested.
Even by Delaware standards this Blue Hen mob violence was pale. Last year, for the second year on a row, a black promoter sponsored a party for students at black colleges in the area. By 2 a.m. 800 black people were outside, many fighting. Guns were fired. Cars damaged. 300 state police responded.
When asked, a spokesman for the state police said not one of their officers at the scene noticed if the entire crowd was black. Pictures at Facebook and other social media answered that question.
No one was arrested.
Despite the fact there was no violence, no property damage other than a few dented cars and pushed over fence, officials at the University of Delaware are on a full scale hunt to bring these lawbreakers to justice.
Already several students have been expelled. Ten arrested. And over the weekend, the Wilmington New Journal published the photos of 44 more alleged student rioters, most pictured in full party mode with their mouths open in a party yell. The university wants to bring them to justice as well.
The newspaper never posted any Facebook photos or videos in its short, one-day coverage of the black mob violence involving the black college students.
The 44 students face suspension, expulsion and even arrest.
Included in the Delaware 10 already charged was a co-ed accused of disorderly conduct and jaywalking. In Delaware, they call that “walking along roadway where sidewalks are provided.”
Her hometown paper in New Jersey dutifully reported the conduct and even printed her mug shot.
Very few people were crying “don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.” Instead, many were irritated at the newspaper — and the University — for making such a big deal out of such a small thing. Including the girl’s father in the comments section of the local Patch:
My daughter was one of 12 who got their picture taken out of 2400 students that attended this event. She was not charged with anything more than jay walking. She will be found innocent since a picture from a video can not be enough evidence to convict.
She also turned herself in when she found out about it (You failed to mention that in your stellar investigation).
BTW there is an old lady Jaywalking on Central . Go track her down. Great job reporting Nicole . Working for the Westfield Patch. What a great job after $150K of College. You must be so proud
So this search for the Holy Grail of white racial violence must be called a disappointment .
In Albany New York, reporter Carl Seiler insists that it happens all the time, only iwhite violence is often ignored. He gives as an example a white riot called “Kegs ‘n’ Eggs” from two years ago.
The quest continues.

An active duty combat veteran is dead, a victim of black mob violence.
The killing took place early Saturday morning, 40 miles south of Seattle near the Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Lakewood, Washington. The soldier, who has yet to be identified, had been out celebrating with two fellow soldiers for two reasons: His safe return from combat. And his imminent release from the military.
KOMO TV news picks up the story:
a group of men in a car drove by and someone inside shouted a racial comment toward the white soldiers, the Lakewood Police Department said.
“One of the soldiers yelled back something about the suspects treating combat soldiers with disrespect,” Lt. Chris Lawler said.
The vehicle turned around, and five black males got out of the car and confronted the soldiers, according to reports. As the verbal confrontation ensued, the driver of the vehicle realized the men were actually combat veterans and called his friends off.
While the men headed back to their vehicle, one of the suspects appeared to have bumped into the victim, witnesses say.
The soldiers saw their friend fall to the ground as the car sped away. The victim was bleeding profusely from a stab wound and died at the scene.
Police are searching for five black men who fled the scene in a midnight blue BMW-type sedan or VW Jetta-type car with four doors, tinted windows and stock rims, and low profile tires, said KOMO.
The main suspect was wearing a hoodie.
Police are searching for five black men who fled the scene in a midnight blue BMW-type sedan or VW Jetta-type car with four doors, tinted windows and stock rims, and low profile tires, said KOMO.
The main suspect was wearing a hoodie.
Clint Zimmerman was with the soldier when he died. “I don’t understand how anyone could do this,” Zimmerman told KOMO. “He gave his life for people to enjoy the freedoms they have and he was stabbed for no f***kin’ reason. What was it all over: Just because they were some white boys?”
The murder is less of a mystery for people from the area. That part of town is predominately black. And “off limits” for white people day and night, say many local commenters to Tacoma news sites.
One woman, who calls herself Nanamamabjm, describes a recent violent crime against her family nearby:
We had an attempted break last weekend DESPITE a very large and another moderate sized dog and my mom being home.
Black dudes in hoodies I dare to say. . . but that is the reality of things. They were black, they were wearing gray hoodies.
When my husband retires, we’re outta here.
Many of the readers of the KOMO web site, as well as readers of the Seattle Times were surprised the newspaper would report the race of the suspects. Even so, some readers wondered why the Times would refer to the crime as “racially tinged confrontation” instead of a potential hate crime.
King 5, another Seattle TV news outlet, did not include a description of the alleged assailants. Nor did it include a quote from what the alleged killers allegedly said.
This is the second “racially tinged” stabbing death in the Seattle area in less than a month. In September, a black man stabbed a college professor in the neck and torso as he “tried to defend” his companion. Local press called it unprovoked and random.
It is also the second killing from black mob violence of a member of the armed services since July. Shaquille Hargrove, a 19-year old member of the U.S. Air Force, was shot during an outbreak of black mob violence outside of a Denver night club. Another airman was wounded, but he survived.
No one has been arrested.
Residents of the Seattle and Tacoma area pride themselves on racial harmony. But black mob violence is an increasingly common part of life is this part of the state.
Ken McMahon is just one of many Seattle residents who remember the June 1 shooting death of Molly Conley:
“She was a 15-yr-old walking home from her birthday party with friends near Lake Stevens,” said McMahon. “She was attending a Catholic high school in Seattle. When I first read about it, noting where it was, I thought my god, now whites on meth are doing drive-bys. It turned out to be a black man who allegedly shot her for ‘no reason’….Except the usual one, walking while white. And in a semi-rural area!”
A video of a group of black people pummeling a visibly pregnant white woman on a Seattle bus went viral in 2010. The attack was caught on video and posted by the Seattle Times.
For all the visible violence in the Seattle area, local public officials are adamant their part of the country is safer. Just look at the statistics, they plead.
That didn’t make sense to Nihan Thai. This Seattle resident was robbed and assaulted in 2012. He soon figured out, so was everyone else in his neighborhood. Many of the victims were Asian. All of the suspects are black.
Thai talked to KING5, a local TV news station about the crime.
“I was literally ten steps away from the house. And I felt a hit on my right face and another hit on the back of my neck and on my lower back, and so as I was falling forward I felt hands grabbing my jacket and my bag,” said Thai. Two months later, not far from where Thai was attacked, another man was grabbed from behind, robbed and beaten. His name was Danny Vega, and he died.
Thai, like Vega, is Asian and openly gay. Before he died, Vega told police “he’d been attacked by three African-American males, all around 18 years of age,” said The Intelligencer. The tenth such attack in that area in two months, all near the corner of Martin Luther King Way and Othello Street.
Police released a video of three black men who are “persons of interest.”
Back to KING5:
“Thai started visiting his neighbors, they had a lot to say, and soon he realized he was doing his own crime survey. Thai knocked on 49 doors. 32 people were home. How many of them had been victims of a crime since moving to the neighborhood? All but three.”
Many victims told Thai they’d never reported the crimes to police.
“It happens to them so often that after 2 or 3 times they stopped reporting because they didn’t see any progress,” said Thai.
Leo Knight is a former police officer and security expert. He covers crime on both sides of the border for Vancouver24.
“Black on white racial violence is becoming more and more prevalent,” said Knight. “But no one in the mainstream media wants to talk about it. Yet, as we saw in the Trayvon Martin case, the mainstream media couldn’t stop talking about that. The hypocrisy is palpable.”

Strange that the Society of Professional Journalists should wonder if its members write enough about race.
The SPJ is already one of the most race-conscious groups in America. And that is easy to see in every aspect of SPJ’s operations, including its magazine, web site, blogs, meetings, training, conventions and membership.
But race and crime? Not so much.
Abe Aamidor is wondering if that is a good idea. Aamidor wrote a thumb sucker for SPJ’s Quill magazine called “When Race is Relevant.” It does not ask about the relationship between race and crime. Or the different crime rates among races. The numbers are overwhelming and well known already. Even to the most obstinate reporter.
Aamidor asks a different question: How much should we let people know about it? Answer: not much.
Aamidor ignores how often SPJ members already report about race. How every day, we read about the black caucuses, black colleges, black churches, black labor unions, black businesses, black neighborhoods, black leaders, black victimization at the hands of supremacy, and on and on and on.
Many of these stories are written by members of the SPJ and the National Association of Black Journalists.
But when it comes to reporting on black crime, or black mob violence, these same reporters suddenly turn color blind.
What’s a reporter to do? asked Aamidor. Aside from following a link in the main photo of his article which connects to a web site of the “Party for Socialism and Liberation,” here’s the only answer Aamidor can muster: “Working journalists may need to look no further than their own media outlet’s policies, which likely will offer guidance on how to report on race and crime.”
More of the same.
Fair enough. Let’s check Aamidor’s former paper, The Indianapolis Star, where he toiled for 22 years. The Star’s policy toward reporting race and crime can be summed up in one word: Don’t.
One hour after after I read Aamidor’s piece, I came across a Tweet about one of the more popular euphemisms for black mob violence: Large fights. This one in Indianapolis, involving 80 people with baseball bats and other weapons. Everyone was black.
The next day, the Indy Star dutifully reported some of the details of the riot. Everything except the race. The paper also dutifully reported that this kind of large scale violence had happened twice before in the last year. And dutifully gave some details. Except the race.
Dutifully ignoring the frequency and intensity of black mob violence in Indianapolis.
In the last three years, there have been dozens of episodes of racial violence in this once bucolic slice of middle America. Many documented in White Girl Bleed a Lot: The return of racial violence and how the media ignore it.
Much of it on video.
But because the participants are not carrying signs with racist slogans, or
promoting violent black revolution as some did during a recent public meeting in Indianapolis, many reporters say there is no evidence of racial violence in Indianapolis. Or anywhere else.
No matter how many videos there are. No matter how far out of proportion black mob violence is. If they do not report it, it does not exist. And if it does not exist, how can they report it?
Every discussion of racial violence in Indianapolis must begin with the Indiana Black Expo. Over the last ten years, this annual, week long celebration of racial consciousness has been the site of shootings, assaults, property destruction, violence against police, and large scale mayhem that can only be called riots.
It got so bad even the Indy Star could no longer ignore it:
“Although none of the shootings or fights was directly connected to Summer Celebration events or venues, the annual celebration of black culture that attracts more than 200,000 people Downtown during its 11-day run has been inescapably tied to the violence.”
Much of the violence is on video. You can find a more complete record of the violence at the Black Expo here.
At this year’s Expo in August, hundreds of police smothered the downtown in anticipation of more black mob violence. Especially since the Expo occurred in the week following the acquittal of George Zimmerman.
When it did not occur, some accused the police of racial profiling. Others said police prepared for and prevented a predictable event. They wondered why an even larger event — the Indy 500 — required only a fraction of the police. And had fewer incidents.
Black mob violence is hardly limited to the Black Expo.
Downtown Indianapolis has been the site of dozens of cases of large-scale black mob violence over the last three years. The Indy Star reports these perpetrators as “unruly teens,” or “unruly youths” or any number of other euphemisms. But the videos tell the story.
The mobs are black.
Downtown Indy is supposed to be a gleaming center of commerce and government and tourism.
Instead, downtown on weekends today often resembles an armed camp with police officers, barricades, helicopters, and an increasing number of empty storefronts from merchants who no longer wish to tolerate the black mob violence that occurs with regular and violent intensity.
Earlier this year, after constructing a Maginot Line-like wall around the downtown, black people just went to one of the suburban malls and wreaked havoc there.
That is also on video.
By July 4 of this year, even the Indy Star knew there was a problem downtown. Here’s how they described it: “a city core overrun by unsupervised teenagers who fight each other and occasionally fire weapons.”
On July 4, despite dogs and helicopters and more than 100 police officers on the street, it happened again. But if you wanted to get the real flavor of the violence from the Indy Star, skip the reporting and go directly to the comments:
James Parson posted on the IndyStar.com:
“I was downtown with my family last night, I saw the gangs roaming the streets. I will not be coming downtown ever again, nor will my family. The insults that were thrown at my family by the black gangsters were out of line. One called my wife a fat whore. Glad to se that Ballard is doing something about these killers in training. I will not be back downtown. If you value your life you will not come either. The gangs own the streets in our city.”
Mark Magers chimed in:
“I agree James! I was downtown for the fireworks with friends and the gangs were ominous and ugly. What is going on downtown? We used to take pride in presenting a safe and fun filled experience.”downtown. I too will not be back and next year will go to the Geist “blast on the bridge”. A better show and nicer group of people!”
The national headquarters of the Society of Professional Journalists is four miles from the epicenter of this racial violence. But somehow, racial violence as a regular feature of the largest black expo in America did make it into this Aamidor’s discussion.
He did however, talk about how television news directors in Pittsburgh met last year with black activists to form an agreement as to how to reduce the coverage of black crime in that city. Aamidor reports the head of Black Empowerment Project said observing crime is bad for white and black people:
“If the only information about black people is what’s in the news, there’s a reason why the unemployment rate is astronomic and why we have all these negative issues — because the imaging of black people is extremely negative,” said Black Political Empowerment Project president Tim Stevens.
“Not only does it affect the viewpoint of white people with their thoughts on black people, I say it affects the psychology of black people.”
No news whether local farmers are complaining about the weather reports.
The Indy Star might be too queasy to cover racial violence, but not not everyone ignores it. Writing in Indiana Barrister, local attorney Abdul Hakim-Shabazz, is out of patience with people who have too much patience for black pathology:
It’s time for some tough love in this town. There is a criminal element in this town that consists primarily of young black men.
The recent attacks on the Monon; the perpetrators were young black men. The “Pop It Off Boys” gang; young black men.
The most high ridden crime areas of the city, who are the bad guys? Say it with me, they are usually young black men.
This may be painful, but the truth hurts. … There is also something even more wrong when people will read this column and get mad at me and call me a “sellout” or an “Uncle Tom” because I was the guy who was brave enough to tell truth.
Indianapolis, you have a problem. Your problem is young, black men who are out of control. It’s time to step up and start making examples out of people.
Decent citizens black and white should not have to live in fear of urban terrorists.
The elderly man who marched for civil rights in the 1950s and 60s should not have to live in fear because some Robin Hoodlum doesn’t know how to honor the social contract.
Young people who are trying to do the right thing, shouldn’t have to live in fear because a bunch of cast extras from a Spike Lee film don’t know how to behave.
And I shouldn’t have to write blog posts like this because young black men act like social predators and terrorize the very neighborhoods they live in.
Not coming soon to your local chapter of the apologists at the Society of Professional Journalists.

An article with some links for an upcoming articl in Wisconson. Note the article with links to the 911 calls. Very interesting.
Big Mike Hagler does not want to hear any more excuses for black mob violence at the Wisconsin State Fair.
Or for fights and gunfire at the Juneteenth celebration to commemorate the end of slavery. Or for any of the other black mob violence that plagues Milwaukee.:
“Every time there is an event going on, people want to pull out guns and go crazy,” said Big Mike, a Milwaukee video blogger. “Everything is getting cancelled: State fairs. Summerfest.”
“All people want to do is fight. Y’all acting like animals. And it is crazy to say it is our own people acting that way.”
All over the country are surprised when they hear about the intensity and frequency of racial violence in Wisconsin.
In New York, the locals talk about the best place to get a bagel. In San Francisco, it’s the Italian restaurants.
In Milwaukee, the discussion often turns to race riots: Which was the worst? The spontaneous violence of the 2011 State Fair, where hundreds of black people beat and terrorized crowds of fairgoers? Or was it the annual rolling race riot known as Juneteenth?
If so, what year?
Others say Fourth of July. For at least three years since 2010, groups of hundreds of black people have done all sorts of bad things, requiring mounted police, helicopters, and paddy wagons to bring it under control.
And let’s not forget the random acts of racial violence in buses, on street corners, at shopping centers, and in other public places that are so popular on YouTube. Or River Splash? Or Greek Fest? Or the other festivals with fighting and gunfire where things got a ‘little out of hand?’
Let’s start with the July 4, 2011.
It started out like a flash rob that could have been in Philadelphia or Chicago or any of the dozens other cities around the country where black people meet at, rush in, and rob a store.

Teen Mob Crashes Upscale Milwaukee Mall; 911 Callers Describe Scene
Fifty to a hundred black people rushed into a BP store after the fireworks. They looted it and ran off. All on video. But then this crew took it to a new level. They headed to a nearby park, where 10 white kids were enjoying a Fourth of July picnic.
Milwaukee Police Chief Flynn described what happened next as “fights:” A curious way to describe a large group of black people assaulting a small group of white people.
Shaina Perry remembers the punch to her face, blood streaming from a cut over her eye, the stolen cell phone. Then the laughter. They just said “Oh, white girl bleed a lot,” said Perry.
The next day, more and more victims of this racial violence came forward, describing the attacks, the laughing, the beating, the weapons. “They were just having a good time,” said one of the victims of the attackers, referring to the laughing and joking during the violence.
At first, the police brass ignored the mob attack. But after the victims went to local talk radio, things changed. The chief of police started singing a different tune. Crime is color-blind, he said.
But by then it was too late: The people of Wisconsin and Milwaukee knew two things: One, they had a full-scale race riot; and two, the police were not capable of calling it by name, let alone do anything about it.
This attack inspired the title of the book White Girl Bleed a Lot: The return of racial violence and how the media ignore it. The book documents more than 500 cases of black mob violence, big and small, in more than 100 cities, big and small throughout the country.
In the new edition from WND Books, readers can scan a QR code and watch a video of racial violence as they read about it in White Girl Bleed a Lot.
The “White Girl Bleed a Lot” attack came a few weeks after the black holiday celebration in Milwaukee known as Juneteenth.
Contemporary news accounts are sketchy at best. But one year later, after another massive disturbance where fifty-four people were arrested as a helicopter kept tabs, witnesses recounted their experiences from 2011.
“On our Juneteenth walk back home, a half a dozen squad cars rushed past us and one squad car stopped. The officers were wearing full riot gear and said something to the likes of ‘What the hell are you (white) people doing in this neighborhood? Get the out of here, don’t you know there is a riot going on a block away?”
At least one local media personality had no trouble calling this violence for what it is. Talk show host James Harris, formerly of 620 WTMJ in Milwaukee, told a television audience the facts about the “White Girl Bleed a Lot” beat down:
It wasn’t a color-blind crime. And it’s something that’s happening all over the nation. We have this epidemic of black young teenagers that are having mob violence, mob activity from Washington DC out to Denver over in the South as well.
(The Mayor and Police Chief) were more worried about being accused of racial profiling that the fact that black mobs were roaming down the streets hurting people.
This reason why this was a PC response was because it was black mob violence.
That’s a whole lot of truth-telling in one place. So now we know that even truth-telling cannot stop racial violence—at least in that dose—because just a few weeks later it all began again.
This time at the bucolic Wisconsin State Fair.
August 5, 2011, hundreds of black people beat up white people, damaged their cars, hurled racial epithets, and caused chaos inside and outside the gates of the State Fair. It was complete chaos for two hours. Then it continued outside, where state police directed traffic while a race riot raged yards away.
The local papers captured the panicked 911 calls and posted links to them.
“It was 100% racial,” claimed Eric, an Iraq war veteran from St. Francis who says young people beat on his car.
“I had a black couple on my right side, and these black kids were running in between all the cars, and they were pounding on my doors and trying to open up doors on my car, and they didn’t do one thing to this black couple that was in this car next to us. They just kept walking right past their car. They were looking in everybody’s windshield as they were running by, seeing who was white and who was black. Guarantee it. They were knocking people off their motorcycles.”
Norb Roffers claimed that as he left the state fair with his wife, crowds near that entrance were large.
“As we got closer to the street, we looked up the road, and we saw a quite a bit of commotion going on and there was a guy laying in the road. He wasn’t even moving.
Finally a car pulled up. They stopped right next to the guy, and it looked like someone was going to help him. We were kind of stuck, because we couldn’t cross.
Traffic was going through. Young black men running around, beating on people, and we were like ‘Let’s get the heck out of here.’ The light turned, and I got attacked from behind. I just got hit in the back of the head real hard.”
The local TV had a report about the extreme violence and chaos. The attacks were “racially motivated” said witnesses. Seven police officers were injured. Thirty-one black people were arrested. “The violence left workers and patrons of the fair in West Allis shaken and reminded many of the mob-like disturbances that occurred over the Fourth of July weekend in Milwaukee.”
Police Chief Flynn and Mayor Barrett said they were going to get tough.
Before the July 4 beat down, before the State Fair riot, before the Memorial Day melee, the people of Wisconsin had a preview of racial violence in January 2011 at a local mall.
Over a hundred black teenagers met in January 2011 at the Mayfair Mall, the nicest mall in the whole state.
“There’s kids running all over the place. They’re just screaming, running. I’ve got a customer on the floor over here. They’ve busted out a glass table. Get people over here,” a Boston Store employee told 911 dispatchers.
“We need police right away. At Boston Store. They’re taking over the store. Hurry. The kids are all over the place. All over. The top level. They’re just everywhere. Running, screaming, breaking things,” another frantic employee told 911.9
After they were done trashing several shops inside, they took the carnage outside.
One of the “teens” arrested for rioting at the state fair is keeping it real: “Police say the teen told investigators whites were chosen because he considered them ‘easy targets.’ ”
One year later, Milwaukee experienced another race riot. Again on the Fourth of July. Again the paper missed it: The Journal-Sentinel admitted the first they heard of the July 4th riot was when one of its readers called and told them. Here’s the late account of a big riot:
One bystander, who was attending the fireworks, called the Journal Sentinel Wednesday to say he saw a crowd of possibly 100 youth screaming and running in the area.
The police said everyone was safe. But if the newspaper went down there and figured out what was really going on, there is no record of that. For the second year in a row, I guess we’ll just have to take their word for it
The Juneteenth party in downtown Milwaukee 2011 happened on two levels: One we heard about from earnest reporters who said people were having a positive experience. The other we saw on the video, which showed a crowd of hundreds of black people stopping a car, beating the driver, then wrecking the car.
Then doing it again to a different car and a different driver.
Other video showed hundreds of black people milling about, with one hitting a policeman, and others ignoring directives to disburse. The reporter said that was from a “few troublemakers.” The video of the violence was rolling as the reporter was describing the wonderful atmosphere. And oh yeah, he said this was the second year in a row they had trouble at Juneteenth.
If you are keeping count, by the summer of 2012 it was three years in a row.
Kane and the Journal-Sentinel were also probably too busy to cover the race riot just a few weeks before over Memorial Day—at the same lakefront park where all the trouble takes place on the Fourth of July holiday season. Police closed the beach after violent disturbances involving hundreds of black people.
The closure was reported in a very matter of fact tone as if it was a given. Afterward, hundreds of black people leaving the beach descended on a nearby shopping district where they wrecked and looted a Whole Foods grocery store and a McDonald’s. FOX6 News obtained amateur cell phone video showing the chaos:
“There were cars stopping, yelling at the kids, telling them to stop; one man said ‘stop fighting stop fighting’ they kept on fighting,” said eyewitness Allen Miller. “Other kids were trying to pull them apart. They just would not stop.”
“I seen like, eight motorcycle cops, two horse cops, about five cop cars, seven cops across the street. They were right here on the sidewalk right in front of McDonald’s, and they were climbing over the rail bottoms, standing here yelling to go, stop, or keep fighting,” Alan Miller, who witnessed the ordeal, said.
The incident is similar to one last Fourth of July when a black mob ransacked a gas station just a few blocks away.
Police made four arrests—all day. If you look at the crime statistics—this riot never happened. So for everyone keeping track, we covered the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and the State Fair.
“Colin, what about St. Patrick’s Day, 2012?” you might be asking.
Nothing happened, if you ask police or check the newspaper. But if you go to YouTube, you see a lot of fighting, police with billy clubs, police on horses, and I don’t know if that police helicopter was around or not.
The Journal-Sentinel might be sleeping their way through many of these disturbances, but every once in a while the self-proclaimed “watchdogs” wake up long enough to report something useful. In 2012 they did confess that Milwaukee police were underreporting violent crime to make the city look safer than it really was.
When Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn touted the city’s fourth-straight year of falling crime in February, hundreds of beatings, stabbings and child abuse cases were missing from the count, a Journal-Sentinel investigation found.
More than 500 incidents since 2009 were misreported to the FBI as minor assaults and not included in the city’s violent crime rate, the investigation found. That tally is based on a review of cases that resulted in charges – only about one-fifth of all reported crimes.
They do report that the department mishandled cases involving people who were arrested. But there’s not a word about cases of mob violence where police were present and no one was arrested.
OK, watchdogs, you can go back to that shady tree behind the barn now.
It is not just Milwaukee. Earlier this summer, a black mob in Green Bay attacked two off duty Minneapolis police officers. There may have been some harsh language exchanged.
And racial violence is a regular feature of life in Madison, however much the local liberals are loathe to admit it.
Last summer, the Wisconsin Badgers football team planned on riding Montee Ball all the way to a national championship — right after Ball received the Heisman trophy. That ended when a mob of black people attacked Ball and his girlfriend. And Ball was never the same.
And don’t forget Sheboygan. It happens there too.
If Wisconsin is the (surprising) site of some of the most frequent and intense racial violence in America, it is also home to some of its most fervent deniers.
Jumping to the top of that list last this summer was Eugene Kane. Writing for the bastion of denial, the Journal Sentinel, Kane referred to the epidemic of black on white violence, and the recent murder of the 88-year old Delbert Belton — but only to minimize it.
Belton is a sympathetic victim most can relate to in terms of having elderly relatives or friends we would never want to see fall prey to merciless young thugs. But just like with Martin, initial reports of the crime have been muddied by further revelations.
One suspect in Belton’s murder claimed the old man was selling them crack cocaine before the murder.
Belton’s family vehemently denied the allegation, but, just as with all criminal cases, things may not be as cut and dried as they first seemed.
Which in Wisconsin, is no surprise at all.
