Black on white crime and black mob violence is an everyday fact of life in Akron.

Add Akron to the list of small cities where black on white crime and black mob violence is an everyday fact of life.

The most recent example is a black man who killed one cop over the weekend, wounded another, then shot three more civilians.

There are lots more recent events as well.

Of course lots of folks remember the large group of black people who assaulted a family on the Fourth of July, shouting: “This is a Black World.”

In April, a Akron High School had to cancel classes because of an episode of black mob violence that required police to stop it with pepper spray. Twelve students were charged with rioting.

In November a black man described as a “gentle giant” was shot and killed by police after firing a gun at them. Despite a long record of violence and gun felonies, friends and family describe the man as s “gentle giant” and say police are at fault and had no business stopping Raupheal Thomas even though police say he was looking for homes to burglarize and was fighting with police.

Forty people protested the shooting, some of whom robbed a local convenience store of at least 40 hats during the demonstration. Others said they were happy the protest was able to show what a good person the convicted felon and accessed cop shooter was.

In September, a large crowd of black people attacked a police during a party at the University of Akron known as Shermanfest. One of 11 people arrested was recently released from prison for armed robbery.

Also at the University of Akron, white students are soft targets for local black criminals. In September, three black people were arrested for a series of such robberies and assaults.

And of course “large fights” with stabbings, beatings and shootings happen on a regular basis, though seldom is anyone arrested.

And oh yeah, this has been happening in Akron for a long time.

Letter from San Francisco

Colin,

I testified in an assault and battery case in 2000. The black perp ran over me with a cart while my husband and I were walking in a confined wooden pedestrian tunnel on Van Ness in San Francisco.

He came upon us from behind so I did not know that he was even there until he ran into me with his pull cart. Then he wanted to fight with my husband, to the point that he actually followed us where he had plenty of room to escape once we were all outside of the tunnel. He dragged my husband out into the street into the traffic.

I grabbed his cart and pulled it into the street to distract him because my husband was lying on his back under that thug. The only reason my husband survived with missing teeth and scrapes etc. instead of being killed is that some people working in a camera store saw what was happening and came to restrain the attacker.

The thug continued to scream “It’s a black thing” while he was put in handcuffs by a federal agent (Asian) who had seen the whole thing from across the street. Then three people (all black) came and stood by waiting for the San Francisco police just to make sure that the thug was protected, even though it was my much-older-and smaller husband who was bleeding.

Then the police officer (cowardly white guy) shows up asking whether we were tourists and just generally looking for any excuse to get out of filing the report. The assistant district attorney told us later that that cop would actually make a better witness for the defense. I was surprised but shouldn’t have been. Thank heavens for that federal agent witness and the fact that he wasn’t white or black. Then we got to trial, and some interns there told us what a “real slime ball” the defendant was, based on his record which they were not allowed to tell us about.

We ended up with a hung jury so the thug got away with it. I pretty much knew that that was going to happen by looking at the jury while I was on the witness stand.

Since I was in court reporter’s training at that time, I knew the tactics that the defense attorney was using and did well against him according to the assistant district attorney. Yet I could just look at a couple of the jurors there and tell that they were not interested in the evidence, particularly one black woman who stared straight ahead the entire time and never — I do mean never — even acknowledged that I was speaking about evidence that mattered in this case.

Let’s face it gestures etc. are placed in court records for reason.

Black violence in schools: Letter from a math teacher

Colin,

My school is mostly hispanic, with a minority of black and white.

Last week, I saw a black kid being pursued by a security guard who was telling him to stop. The kid was obviously not stopping, and the security guard tried grabbing his arm. The kid of course started screaming at him to not touch him. I started walking towards the situation to help, telling the kid security has a right to touch then if they refuse to comply with a order.

The kid broke away from the security guard and ran towards me with his fists raised getting within inches of my face, which of course scared the crap out of me. I was able to back away and another security guard intervened. Realize that I’m a 55 year old white male with degrees in math, and I have to deal with this stuff regularly.

Now and then teachers are required to attend racial sensitivity training, hosted always by black speakers.

One of them kept bringing up how the ‘Asian club’ at our school was an example of how racism was alive on our campus, while ignoring the fact that our school has a Black student union. Our Asian club is composed mostly of small defenseless Asian and hispanic kids, many of whom are on the chess team.

The Black student union is composed of big black kids, some over 6 foot, who walk about campus together threateningly, but according to her, that’s not racism. These sensitivity trainings incidentally are brought to us by an 80k a year district employee (black of course ) whose real job make sure we don’t write referrals on black kids unless you have no way of ignoring what they did or didn’t do.

During one sensitivity training, they had a student read a poem she had written about white people going to Africa to capture black slaves, (which isn’t even historically accurate of course), and so we had to let this black teenager, who by many accounts of her teachers was a constant discipline problem in the classroom, beat it over our heads how bad white people are.
