one of the police reports is heavily redacted, but one can still see that all the perps were black males and females. It’s called Black Skin Privilege. The news and the law conspire to NOT reveal the race of all those “just teenagers” who are assaulting any one they want with impunity. Recently, when a black guy was doing something proclaimed prohibited in that area, was warned by his companion that “you can’t do that here. See the sign.” The black guy replied, “Sure I can. I’m black and no one is going to dare tell me I can’t.” He was very aware of the concept of Black Skin Privilege. So all those being assaulted, some seriously injured, even a few killed can be reassured that those violent attacks will go UNPUNISHED so long as the criminals are black. Lack of consequences for criminal behavior merely encourages the perpetrators to keep pushing the limits to see just how far they can go before law enforcement finally stops the cover up aided by the spineless news media and finally treats the “teens” as the criminals they are.
