New: Is the Knockout game real? In Dayton?

cover2Today’s Dayton newspaper carried a straight story about the Knockout Game and what it means and where it is practiced and who does it and who is the victim.

Here’s an except.

New: Knockout Game – Ames, Kingston, Dayton — all within one day – White Girl Bleed a Lot, Knockout Game, black on white crime.

 

Now comes the ABC affiliate in Dayton to basically say the reporter (and yours truly) are basically making it all up.

Letter from Dayton on Polar Bear Hunting and black mob violence:

Dear Colin:

The evolution of the Dayton RTA bus story was truly something to watch.

Early yesterday the Dayton Daily News and WHIO TV ran a factual story that included the race of the assailants and the gang/polar bear aspect. That was the story I emailed you as a link.
(The DDN and WHIO partner and are actually co-located in the same building).

Within 2 hours they had scrubbed the story clean deleting both race and the polar bear remark by the victim. This iteration made it sound like a failed armed robbery.

Shortly thereafter they must have realized that the original story had gone national (thanks in no small part to your rapid response).

Version 3 appeared around noon with the race, physical description and gang/polar bear stuff now BACK in story along with further police and victim’s family embellishments!

Finally, today they further developed the story with their interview with you and the whole ‘White Girl…..” phenomena!! Amazing.

Lastly I noticed today that the politically-correct self-censoring Associated Press is still going with the sanitized Version 2 of the incident.

Doubtlessly, the bullet-stopping Bible component helped propel the story, but it was your work on this epidemic of violence that kept the local news people honest.

Billy Cunningham was right……”you are a Great American!”

 

The Dayton News reporter played it straight with me and with the story that ran today.

After three cases of the Knockout Game in Iowa the same night last weekend, Mike puts it all in perspective with the single greatest act of denial i have run across so far.

Most cited incidents of the “knockout game” were either years-old video clips that were pulled in to create a narrative or copycat crimes happening after news sources claimed this was a trend. Are you sure this isn’t just a random act of violence, or even a non-random one perpetuated by people who knew the victims, that is being reported as a trend because it makes better news?

Details in the reported attack of a Dayton city bus driver echo in a disturbing way to street gang and racially-motivated attacks around the country.

RTA bus driver Rickey Wagoner, 49, told police he was attacked by three armed men who said they had to “shoot a polar bear” — street lingo for a white person. So-called “polar bear attacks” and the “knock out game” are shorthand for violent black-on-white attacks.

 

Kingston, New York:

Kingston police say three boys who assaulted man were playing ‘Knockout Game’; victim not seriously hurt (VIDEO)

Three juveniles who were playing the “Knockout Game” were arrested after assaulting a male victim on Broadway near Franklin Street, city police said on Friday.

Police said the juveniles, two 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy, approached a 21-year-old male about 7 p.m. Thursday and asked if he had a lighter. After a brief conversation, the victim was struck without warning, fell to the ground and then was kicked, police said.
