Letter to a 12-year old and his daddy.

September 3, 2013 — 6 Comments
I recently received this letter from an enterainment reporter and his 12-year old son about a video blog I did about White Girl Bleed a Lot:
Ian & I watched your P.S. DuPont video.  He wondered why a grown ass man who didn’t go to that school is such a whining ass pussy baby about something that happened 40 years that he did not experience himself.
Maybe because you are like those black folks that go on & on & on & on & on slavery, something they did not experience either.
Here is my reply:
Dear Ian,
I would like to thank you for your thoughtful and mature question.
Let me try and answer it as best as I can.
You know how you dad likes to write articles about Brittney Spears and Miley Cyrus?
And how he likes to read about what they drink at Starbucks and where they exercise and what color their leggings are and how that is different this week than last and what does that really mean?
That is called being a reporter.
Your dad has never met Brittney or Justin or any of those people. But still he learns about them, so he can explain to the world what these young people are about.
Now, pretend your dad was doing something important.
Like writing about criminals.
And how the prey on old people.
You know, the kind of criminals that your grandfather talked about when your dad wanted to go to P.S. duPont.
That is a different kind of reporting.
And when I write it or talk about it, people read it.
Admittedly, big pictures with lots of arrows are better.
But there are dinosaurs out there who insist on reading things like that.
And when a lot of people read what you write, that book shows up on the best seller lists.
It also gets you lots and lots of journalism awards.
If you are interested in that, I would encourage you to check out your local Jr. High library. May I recommend something by the Hardy Boys.
But beware: Some of the ignorant boys at school like to laugh and make fun of the smart kids.
We have a name for these kids when they get older: We call them bus boys.
So don’t you pay them any mind.
I hope I’ve cleared that up for you.
And if you have any more questions, you can ask me again.
I’m sorry they did not cover this kind of big bad stuff at Montessori school. But I feel it is better you learn about the way the real world works the sooner the better.
My regards to T-Bone.

That letter barely makes any sense to begin with.

blank CoweringCoward says:

To be quite honest, that was a letter that was not really due a response.

“Never wrestle with a PIG, you will only get dirty, and the pig likes it!” or
“Don’t argue with idiots, they will drag discourse down to absolute stupidity, then beat you with experience!”
Good response though, I can’t let anything go unanswered either.

Great response, Colin.

One trait of people who parent future criminals or at minimum, social hemorrhoids, is that they have the emotional maturity level at or below that of their children. In short, they FEEL instead of THINK when it comes to sensitive or important issues in their lives. This is also a primary personality defect of the felon.

Little, if anything, is thought out prior to them acting, and whatever is emotionally uncomfortable to them, whatever doesn’t fit into their fantasy world, is either dismissed outright or they go ad hominem on the messenger. Like adolescents, they live a life of illusion as opposed to reality.

Shameless plug: There is a book coming out within the next several months that will explain these people’s corrupt thought processes. It is being written by a former prison psychologist.

“Send Your Kids to Jail, A Manual For The Mutant Parent.” Stay tuned.

The father wrote the phrases “grown ass man” and “whining ass pussy baby”? I hope the 12-y-o has a committed desire to learn and to rise above his father’s example.

By the way it was written I thought it was done by the twelve year old.

The morality of the cowardly would have us spend more time wondering what Britney and Justin are doing and less time looking at the problems of our society with an eye to fixing them.
