Colin,
Hi. I’m from Davenport Iowa.
2 years ago in October my husband decides to get some exercise and walk a video up to family video about 5 blocks away. On his way home it was dark. When he turns onto our street and sees 5 black males approaching him. He says he knew he should have ran but didn’t want to be judgemental because they were black.
They approached my husband and asked him what time it was. He told them he didn’t have a watch or phone so didn’t know the time sorry. So again they ask him the time. He said I don’t know sorry. Then they say ITS TIME TO GET F****D UP. They all begin to punch him.
My poor husband being beaten by 5 black males. He tries to get away and to run. He makes it into the street and one clocks him right in the head. He then falls down and is being kicked. Tries to get away again and can’t. The only reason these animals stopped was because a car turned onto the street. They all ran. No one helped my husband as he did yell help a couple times.
He comes into our home and tells me to call 911. I turn and see him and first thing I thought was he was pulling a prank on me. Blood was coming out of his mouth and down his face. We called 911. He had to go to the emergency room and also the dentist.
They hit or kicked him in the face and it actually pushed his bottom front teeth up to where the dentist had to file his teeth down.
The police never did anymore check ups on my husband. He did mention that one of the guys tried to friend him on Facebook after this was put into the paper and the police didn’t end up doing anything!
The newspaper reporter came to do an interview. I asked for our name not to be in the paper I was scared they could find us. Low and BEHOLD our names were in the paper! And of COURSE the head line read 5 males jump 1 male. NO WHERE did it say black males! So that people could be on the watch at night.
More stuff liked this happened after this! But of course no issues since it was 5 black men beating 1 white INNOCENT man!
