Letter From a Suicidal Victim.

Hi there. My brother posted about me a few days ago and there was quite a response. Thank you to everyone for your kind/outraged/overly outraged words. I’m feeling about 95%, although I only look about 50% at the moment. I just thought I’d pop in to describe what happened.

I was doing a warm-up walk, about to start running, a bit south of the Rhode Island Metro station on the MBT. As I was walking, a group of 15-20 teenagers, ages around 13-17, rode by. One of them reached out and slapped me in the face and then turned around and smiled at me. It didn’t hurt but it shocked the hell out of me.

I stood still for about 30 seconds and finally asked myself “Am I going to just allow random children to slap me with no consequences?” Obviously not. So I sprinted after him. I didn’t really have a plan for what to do if I caught him, whether I would drag him off his bike or just yell at him, but I didn’t think I’d catch him anyway.

He had about a 100m head start on me and was already moving, and he sped up when he saw me. After about 200m of course I got tired, so I stopped running and turned around back the way I came. A few of their stragglers passed by me and asked why I was chasing him, and I told them it was because he’d slapped me for no reason.

Then I heard yelling behind me and realized that the whole group had turned around and was coming back. I wasn’t terribly concerned, which was my first mistake.

I just moved back to the US after living in Thailand for 12 years. I guess this goes under culture shock, because it simply did not occur to me that things could get so violent with a bunch of kids on bicycles.

After all, I hadn’t done or said anything. If it had been an equal number of adults I think I would have reacted quite differently, i.e., by running away as fast as I could. Ex-ranger or not, no one fights 15 people and wins.

I did take the threat a bit seriously, because I tried to hop over the fence on the side of the trail. I reasoned that if things got bad, I could fight them individually as they came across the fence.

Unfortunately that fence is excellent, in that there are spikes all across the top and it’s made of tall vertical iron bars with nowhere horizontal to put your foot. I could have climbed it eventually but I only had about 5 seconds before The Horde showed up.

I failed miserably. The fence on the other side of the trail would have been very easy to hop, and I could gone down gloriously while doing my one man impression of Sparta, but unfortunately The Horde had arrived.

About 4 of them lined up in front of me, looking angry, and yelling at me. One of them was holding the others back as he asked why I ran after the first kid. I answered that he had slapped me for no reason. Then one of them yelled “He called us a bunch of b*tch *ss nigg*s!”

Very obviously, I had not. I am a 40 year old dude out for a run. I’m not going to challenge a group of 20 kids to a fight. Ridiculous.

One of them grabbed my sweatshirt, and then I think one of them sucker-punched me. Pretty much immediately a rain of blows landed on me. I mean that literally. It felt like a meteorological event. I didn’t feel much pain, but my body was being buffeted back and forth very strongly as though I was in a very strong, possibly racist, wind.

I tried to throw out punches, but I could barely see anything because my head was vibrating so hard from all the punches. I could barely keep my feet. It felt like I was experiencing an earthquake. My hat came down over my eyes and I tore it off so I could see. I knew I would lose but my plan was to just pick one, ignore the others, and just destroy him.

It might scare the rest off. Unfortunately it’s quite hard to put up much resistance when your head is rocking back and forth like a bobble-head and you’re struggling to stay upright. I think I may have landed a few punches, but I’m not really sure.

One of the more fiscally minded of The Horde reached into my pocket and grabbed my cell phone. I tried to stop him but was distracted by the other 4-5 teenagers who were pounding me. I’m not sure but I think some replacements came in and took over for a few of the originals.

Two of them spat on me. One of them who hadn’t gotten to the frontlines yet threw a rock at my head. I’m not sure if he hit me or not. I must have gone down at some point, (although I don’t remember it,) because there are scrapes on my hands and knees. I got back up.

Eventually they backed off. I managed to grab one of them and throw him pretty hard against that stupid unclimbable fence. I saw him hit his head on the iron bar. According to my original plan, I would have destroyed him but I think the tide was receding at that point and I wasn’t feeling real motivated. The Horde left.

There had been a construction worker on the other side of the The Wall, who I think had been trying to verbally interject. Of course there wasn’t much he could do since that fence is unclimbable. A few bike riders showed up. Nobody knew first aid so I had to treat myself for shock, lying down and trying to keep my head elevated. Someone offered me some water and a white t-shirt for the blood, a shirt which I promptly ruined. The police showed up. An ambulance came. I went to the hospital.

The damage: I have a broken nose that looks like it’s been turned clockwise like an egg timer, my front tooth is broken in half, and another is chipped. Scrapes everywhere. They broke three of the bones in my sinuses, so now if I swallow or cough my head feels like a submarine at twice it’s max depth.

There was a very deep and wide cut through my eyebrow down through the muscle as well. It seems to have affected my nerves because my scalp behind it is sort of numb. Although if I had to select a place for nerve damage, the scalp would be a good one. Have you ever heard someone in a movie say “Doc! I can’t move my scalp!!!”?

Physically I’m feeling pretty good. I might get back to exercise in a few days, although I think I have to lay off handstands or my sinuses will explode.

I’m feeling pretty disillusioned though. I lived in Thailand for 12 years with nothing like this happening to me, then moved back to the US 3 months ago and got my *ss handed to me immediately. My Thai girlfriend in Thailand is now convinced that I live in some sort of primitive violent society and says she’s scared to move here and start a family.

I have a good English friend in Bangkok who constantly talks smack about America, and I feel like I want to just conceal this whole incident from him because he’ll just see it as confirmation that he’s right. As people who grew up in the US, of course we are used to the American atmosphere, but there are a lot of people out there in the world who look at us the way most people look at a place like Syria. This is ridiculous.

And if I ever get a chance to talk to those teenagers, if I can restrain myself from any violence, I’d have a few questions for them:

“Why are you so angry? Especially at just some random guy whom you’ve never met? I never did anything to you guys. I’m assuming you’re angry at me because I’m white.

But don’t you guys understand that not all white people are created equal? If you guys saw Donald Trump, Mitt Romney, and me standing around, you would see us all the same way.

But as an uninsured, unemployed, 40 year old white guy living in his brother’s basement looking for work, I honestly think I have more in common with you at-risk youths than I do with Romney or Trump.

If anybody is personally responsible for your circumstances, (and I can’t believe I’m going to open this can of worms on Reddit on my very first post,) it is far more likely to be someone like Romney or Trump than someone like me.

Be angry at the people in power, regardless of their skin color, who benefit by maintaining the current status quo and by ignoring the circumstances of people like you and me. Don’t get violent; do something substantive.

Your violence just makes me want to get violent in return, and I don’t think that’s going to help whatever race issues we have in this country. You beating me up didn’t make things better. And if I hadn’t been fighting my own base urge for revenge, it would certainly make things worse. Come on guys. Can’t we all just get along?”

Seriously though. If anyone hears anything or knows anything, please let me know. These kids need the police to show them that they can’t randomly attack people, for whatever reason, consequence-free, or they’ll continue to do so, and maybe next time the victim won’t be someone who can take it.

Yes, the media is fueling this garbage and making whites a scapegoat for their inability to “handle” the blacks. It makes me so angry when I see them protecting the criminal, because he/she is black.

I was beaten by a black teenage girl as I tried to keep them from hurting a middle aged white woman. She got behind me and pulled me to the ground using my hair. They sauntered away, no rush. The cops came about 15 minutes later and their attitude was frosty.

The last thing they wanted to do was pursue the girls and get involved. I had surgery for a broken collarbone, to extract a piece of bone that savage had punched right out of place. And then I was told it was my fault for trying to talk them out of hurting the other woman!!!!! Why didn’t I just ignore it and drive away? I find myself angrier at whites than blacks.

What happened to proud people whose ancestors founded and built this country? They checked out when the word “racist” began to be used as a retort. We are in deep trouble in this country.

I am writing this from my parent’s house in St. Louis, MO. That’s right, sir: “St. Louis City of Black Crime Sprees–and Insanity.”

The pictures you are looking at are of the intersection of Grand and Arsenal Streets in South City–the site of some of the worst vandalism in the wake of the Ferguson riots of 2014.

What do you see, Mr. Flaherty?

Where are the gangs of roving black animals? Where are the smashed storefronts and terrified white shopkeepers barricading their stock of purple drank from looters? Where are the discarded fetuses laying in the gutters, having been freshly torn from the wombs of white suburban cheerleaders?

My parents live nearby, and we have been shopping in this area frequently since we’ve been here. I’m here to tell you that you are Full of Sh*t, Colin Flaherty. St. Louis is NOT “a city of Black Crime Sprees–and Insanity.” F**k your piss-elegant wordplay.

St. Louis is a city whose citizens care deeply about healing the wounds in our divided community, and the last thing we need is a balding, over fed, entitled WHITE keyboard coward dilettante ‘journalist’ from Delaware telling us to lock our windows, bolt our doors, and get ready for the coming racial holy war in our streets.

F**k you and your smug, arrogant white privilege, and f**k your idiot moron ‘readers’ for worshiping the ground you spit on. You can all take your collective white paranoia and clever little “Dindu Nuffin” references and shove them up your entitled honky a*ses.

Good day Colin,

I greatly appreciate what you are doing and I have been a subscriber for some time, the double standard must be exposed and confronted. Thank you for reaching out and extending the opportunity to tell my story:

I do not consider myself nor have I really ever had feelings of racism towards blacks, growing up in the USA and coming from a Christian family racism was not acceptable form of worldview. I never had any blacks, (Mexicans everywhere) within a 5 mile vicinity growing up in rural New Mexico. I had no childhood traumas involving blacks, in fact the first time I heard rap music I was instantly a fan at 11 years old listening to the Beastie Boys. I have a fondness for Brooklyn NY music though I have never visited, my Grandfather on my moms side is from Brooklyn and he was a vocal racist of blacks, he was a loud Irishman and embarrassed us.

I could sympathize with blacks being a minority when I moved to El Paso, TX and took the lifestyle as far as I could, basketball and rap music late 90’s early 2000’s.Though our high school had very few blacks one of the friends withing my circle was black but more subdued not a gangster. Naturally when I moved to Denver to pursue my semi-black aspirations of creating rap music and playing basketball, involving myself with the black community was a probability.

My first experience I was selling dime bags in Civic Center Park downtown Denver, the local gang leader was a Mexican female, she sent a group of 3 black hoodlums to chase me down as a punishment for working in her turf. I managed to evade this attempt at my life by running faster than I have ever run in my life.

Maybe a year later, I was playing basketball when the local tough guy at the 20th Street Gym, downtown Denver he went by “Red” he was half-black or yellow asked me to meet him downtown in an hour to buy something, he claimed to be a “Street Pharmacist” and we were gonna trade or something. We met outside of Planet Smoothie, he told me what he needed I went into the bathroom to facilitate the transaction. When I came out the Planet Smoothie, the same 3 black guys who had chased me a year or more earlier were there; I was punched, kicked and beaten for several minutes. I was screaming for help, finally they decided to stop and they all ran off. I picked myself up off floor, washed my face, saw my face and went to find help.

The girl who was working at the Planet Smoothie was hysterical, I didn’t want to get in trouble for what was in my backpack. I walked until I found some cops on 16th St. reported what had occurred and was met with the reality that I didn’t have any evidence of who attacked me besides the vague description of 3 black youths wearing hoodies, sneakers and the damage done to my face.

The third attack happened some 5-6 years later. I was walking alone to my car after a night of partying and drinking approximately 2:00am in the 5points area near downtown, the area is known for crack. 3 black youths (not the same black youths from my previous story) approached me, 2 were smoking cigarettes, I stupidly asked for a cigarette, the kid motions for me to come closer to him and he squats down like he is getting his cigarettes from his sock, I move closer and he immediately jumps up and uppercuts me in the jaw. Somehow I was not very dazed by the punch and I was able to remove myself and run to safety, they initially pursued me but then they trailed off a few blocks away.

I no longer live in Denver, I am back in El Paso. I know you will probably not be able to broadcast my example because of the drug content, which in my opinion should not be ignored. There are black drug gangs who target people, I was a target. They keep score over long periods of time and don’t forgive or pardon even minor infractions.

I grew up in Cincinnati. I can admit this video is 100% accurate.

Cincinnati was a good city but it’s been over run. I’ve had guns pulled on me, on UC campus, by black guys over a parking spot (that’s right). Black guys will threaten you with guns in broad daylight over a public parking spot, and NONE of the UC students, faculty, or POLICE that drive by did anything even though there were 3 guys with guns pointing at me. Do not trust ANYONE in Cincinnati, they are bought-and-paid-for corrupt.

Hey Colin! a G.E.D recipient here, dropped out of Garland High here in Garland TX (right next to Dallas) solely for the reason of black violence and criminality.

2 years in and I was done, a few weeks later I received my “GOOD ENOUGH DIPLOMA” and was on my way. What brought this on was how after months in high school and years before all the way back to elementary I was harassed, attacked, and robbed DAILY by black students!

After two years in high school it finally came to a head when during lunch the usual black bully was following me shouting racist slurs and kicking my feet. In a moment of rage I turned and hit him in the face with both the food and the tray repeatedly I was then jumped and stomped and called a racist coward and savage. long story short I was placed in IBS or known as ” In Building Suspension” wanna guess how long? SIX MONTHS that’s right folks six months of sitting in one spot day after day drugging through my school work simply for defending myself, I went from a 3.7 average down 2.0 flat. Why you ask we’ll I would have had a 4.0 but I missed 2 months of school due to a broken jaw graciously given to me by one of my black bullies BEFORE the “tray to the face” incident…..oh and the bully who kicked my feet was never punished by the way. They made is seem as if I was the problem child.

My parents, teachers, friends all denied the violence and cruelty set upon me despite being all too familiar with the depths of violence and hatred levied against any and all non-black students.

My advice is this to any who still are unsure or scared to admit the truth of this epidemic of violence and denial, peace has cost us our strength….victory has defeated us. However, if you grow weary of this excusing of malicious cruelty then first purchase Colin’s books. Educate yourself then be ready to not just defend yourself but also the truth and info that Colin has so graciously shared with us. A war is fought on many fronts but remember by being informed we become an intellectual phalanx which can resist and defeat an enemy from ALL directions.

It was back in 1991 when I went to mcds to get my girlfriend an ice cream cone (she wanted). I pull up to the drive thru and there were 20 or 30 of these things in the parking lot. I thought, “it’s okay, just getting a cone and gone from here.” nope, they came up to my girls window and asked for a dollar and she said no and rolled up the window. Well, after like 5 seconds I heard a loud bang on my car. I look over to see one of these things throwing a rock right through the window and hits my girl in the head. I take off and try to run some down, but they jumped out of the way. So I was going down the road going 90 in a 35 to have a cop pull me over. They did and I told them what happened and guess what? nothing was done about it. Thanks for listening, see ya and love your vids.

A couple of summers ago, a coworker in Northern Virginia was thinking of moving down to Richmond. A guy in his apartment building in DC said he could get a job for him in IT if he moved down there since supposedly he had a lot of contacts.

My friend is wheelchair-bound so I drove him down there to look around. I’d known some people from my high school graduating class (1974) who went to VCU so we drove around the campus a bit.

As you noted in your recent video, it’s in downtown Richmond. What surprised me is that newer parts of it appeared to have been created by taking a bite out of some blocks of ghetto, which left the new campus buildings right next to the still-active ghetto.

These are places I wouldn’t want to walk around in during the day, much less at night, and I wasn’t too keen about even driving around there. I suspect parents who pay to send their kids down there may not have any idea what they’re getting into. If they do, they’re probably thinking that, if they have pure hearts, free of all that wicked white racism, then they’ll be fine, plus it’s a great opportunity to meet people from different cultures. “Great opportunity” indeed!

In 1992 I was attending a seminar in which the presenter was talking about how he pulled up in front of a hotel in downtown Richmond at night and, as he got out of his car, was accosted by a black man who told him to hand over his wallet. In recounting the incident the guy said, “I would have squealed like a pig if he had ordered me to!” The fact that the guy had more than a passing resemblance to Ned Beatty in “Deliverance” made that remark pretty funny. He was, however, suing the hotel for not providing a safe environment. He should have kicked himself in his ass for picking a hotel in downtown Richmond and being there on the street at night.

On Sunday my sainted 85-year-old mother asked me if I could give a ride to a nun who needed to visit a couple of old folks homes as part of her weekly rounds. My mother was going to be at her weekly volunteer job and couldn’t do it, so I said okay, I’d take care of it. As I drove the nun to her two destinations we talked and she mentioned reading of incidents in Texas that sounded like the Knock-Out Game in reverse. Apparently somewhere in that state there were some white guys going around in groups, attacking lone blacks, and calling it “de-negressing.” (Not sure of the spelling. It sounded like a cross between “nigger” and “egress.” Whether or not it’s even true, I don’t know. I couldn’t find anything about it online.) I told the nun about the Knock-Out Game, Polar Bear Hunting, Beat Whitey Night, attacks on the elderly, the weak, and other easy targets (she’s up there in years and not too tall), etc., that of course she hadn’t heard about since she relied on the mainstream media for news. Next time I see her I’m going to give her a copy of Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry. It might save her life.

Dear Hillary,

I attended L.A. public schools for about half a school year, back during forced busing in the early 1970s…..

Never once, not ONE TIME, did I see a white student harass, intimidate, or humiliate a black student. However, I saw every school day, black students harass, intimidate, and humiliate white students. At least a few times a week, I saw black students beat and/or rob white students. I never saw a white student beat or rob a black student. Never. Not one time. Perhaps all these white on black humiliations/harassment/intimidation/beatings are happening in the Southern states, or some “other” places other than the LA school district.

But, as far as the L.A. school district, from my observations, it was always, 100% of the time BLACK ON WHITE. I’ve heard of many many many other whites who tell me similar things, who lived throughout the U.S., including the South. They all tell me about black on white violence, intimidation, threats, robberies, of blacks against whites, and Asians, and Latinos. I don’t see or hear the stories of WHITE on black or WHITE on Hispanic. I’m sure it happens, but I just haven’t seen or heard of any event.

WHY don’t you mention the epidemic of BLACK ON WHITE violence in this country? Could it be….No….No….could it be you WANT THE VOTES of black people, and you’re merely PANDERING to them? No, can’t be. Nobody could be that “low”.
