A Tweet from Cleveland explaining the black mob violence:

“Absolute and pure BS to claim that mainly Black teens (or to insinuate it) are the participants in these flash mobs – they just get more news coverage.”

My brother and I host a talk radio show in Delaware where this has been a topic of disagreement. At least at first. I am conservative. He is liberal.

When I first started talking about widespread racial violence in this country, my brother didn’t like it.

But I guarantee, if he could find widespread examples of marauding groups of Asians or whites or Eskimos doing all kinds of damage, that would have been the greatest day of his life.

Because it would have destroyed my argument. He would love to do that.

But the next time he does, it will be the first.

Colin,

I recommend that your brother learn the concept of Denial, the most primitive form of ego defense mechanisms. Weak ego strength is the culprit where the denier engages in ignoring reality to support a fantasy value system. This mental dodge temporarily bolsters an already fragile sense of self worth and false stability. I also suggest head to a local animal rescue office, and adopt a pet he can lavish attention on, one that’s honestly been neglected. That may start his path to recovery. You may also want to explain to him that defending barbarism only reinforces the behavior. In other words, he’s causing harm to others by not holding them accountable.
