When i was in junior high, nearly 30 years ago, this kinda crap happened all the time.

The blacks would hang outside the bathrooms and wait on an unsuspecting white kid the jump the hell out of him.

I was able to fight my way out, only to have a white female teacher break it up and verbally accuse me of starting the fight.

I got suspended, along with another black kid. I was about to drop before Mrs.Milquetoast intruded.

It was 4 on 1 in the bathroom, in the hall it was me and Slender Jones.

Hey Colin: Just a brief past episode of (almost) black on white violence.

A few years ago I was living in a mid-sized town in the South.

I got off from work early and decided to do a load of laundry at the closest Laundromat to me as it was the cheapest Laundromat. This Laundromat was most typically frequented by Mexicans who were always quiet and kept to themselves and I never had any issue with any of them.

This day it was a hot summer day so I was sitting in my car in front of the Laundromat with the windows down waiting for my laundry to get done. While I was in my car waiting, an older model Cadillac pulled in and parked on the opposite side of the Laundromat parking lot. As soon as the car parked, two huge black guys, the size of huge basketball players, jumped out of the car, looked at me briefly, then they got real agitated and started cursing loudly and aggressively but I really couldn’t understand what they were saying. I was sure they couldn’t be cursing at me. I have never seen these black guys before.

I thought they must have been speaking to someone else. So I looked at the other direction to see if someone else was there but there was nobody. So I looked back at them. In the time I had looked away and looked back they both had covered about a third of the distance to my car across the parking lot. They were still cursing while advancing toward me and then I clearly heard them say, “That’s right f***ing cracker! We’re talking to you!” Well, I quickly put the key in the ignition, my foot on the brake, and was ready to start it up and throw it in reverse. The two proceeded several more steps before stopping, looked at each other, smiled and laughed to each other, and one went into the Laundromat to get a can of soda from the machine inside, the other guy got some snacks from the little convenience store on the other side of the parking lot. They both soon met back up at their car, looked over at me again, laughed, got in their car and drove away.

Needless to say, I never saw these two guys again and never went back to that Laundromat. I was shaken for a long time after this incident knowing that it could have ended much, much worse.

Hi Colin,

I’m 16 years old. I just want to start off by saying that I love your Youtube channel. I watch it quite a bit. I saw your video of the white kid being beat up after getting off of a bus and it was very similar to an experience I had myself.

It was about a year and a half ago and I was a freshman in high school. I live in a not so great neighborhood in south Kansas City mind you. I’m white. My girlfriend at the time was black. I never bothered anybody and I pretty much kept to myself.

Back to the story, I got off the bus after school and noticed a few black kids getting off on my stop. I knew they were up to something because they don’t get off there. I just proceeded to walk home. They follow close behind. I hear them talking, right behind me, about taking my phone. They didn’t act fast enough and I got to my house where they backed off, still acting tough. I flipped them off only to be called white trash.

From that point on I was bullied everyday. I received threats everyday. I’m a tough kid, but what was I to do? The school doesn’t care. Being white, if I tried anything I would have been in an even worse situation considering my school is 85-90% black. No one seems to think about the white kid. My story means nothing to anyone.

Am I a black kid being bullied by white kids? No. So I don’t matter. That’s the shitty thing about what’s happening to our country. I can’t speak out. I can’t fight back. That would only bring me harm. Black on White crime is cancerous in America. But the only things the media and the government care about are the “racist” confederate flag, police “brutality”, and the killing of “innocent” blacks.

To hell with the whites that have to live with the harshness of blacks, that can’t do anything about it. My family can’t move away. We’re stuck in this neighborhood. If I spoke out about this my family would be put in danger. I’m grateful that you speak the truth. Hope you read this soon. (Sorry if this was hard to follow, I kind of went on a rant)

Dear Colin,

By the way Colin, your latest series on the effects of black on white beatings and bullying in schools is spot on!

It dredged up all the old wounds from my own personal experiences in NYC public school in the late 60s or early 70s when they decided to bus in black students. Instantly, the school became a zoo… outbursts, loud cackling and screeching during class, we dreaded to see the bus pull up and you could hear it coming from the screaming and yelling onboard, my friends and I started getting mugged in the bathrooms, we got “accidentally” hit and stepped on in the hallways, and thrown around on the playground. Seriously thrown around. All accompanied by screeching and laughing.

Dude, we were in 3rd grade grade!! The teachers and principal were woefully unprepared to handle the constant disruptions. Next year, we watched one of the perpetually wound-up black kids in our 4th grade class grab his chair, chase the teacher around the classroom with it, corner her, and then use it to beat her as he laughed and hooted. The teacher was seriously injured and quit.

The administration held an assembly, addressed nothing, and then during part of it claimed we weren’t as welcoming as we could be to our new students.

My brother and I were signed up in private school within a few weeks after that.

Hi Colin!

I would like to share my experience with you (or, more correctly, experiences) of black on white crime and racial violence from way down south, where I’m originally from, on the Gulf of Mexico area of Mississippi, and when I lived for a VERY brief time in Atlanta, Georgia. I currently reside in San Diego, CA and you and I are Facebook friends, but to save you the trouble of looking me up , I will tell you a little about myself first.

I am 35 years old, white, from a little nowhere community in Lumberton, MS called Magnolia and spent my teenage years roaming Gulfport and (without my parents permission) New Orleans, LA with my friends ( I had my drivers License when I was 16).

I went to school in Wiggins, MS at Stone Co Elementary through High School, and in High School is where I got my first taste of real black on white terrorism and harassment. I was a “different” kind of girl , and the only one of my kind going to this school. I was into grunge then punk rock music, always dressed “weird” , and I was and am very quiet and shy. I was a constant target for intimidation and harassment by both races of which we had in my small school (only black and white), but the black kids were the ones who were more violent, saying racial remarks nonstop ” lookit white girl, satan worshipper.. hey white girl, you worship satan” it was always “white” something or another followed by demeaning insults towards my race and always they were in groups cackling and coming towards me to try and bully me. More of the same that you’ve heard a million times.

I, like one of your interviewees recently, had turned to symbolism and returning my anger by drawing swastikas on my shoes or clothing, wearing boots with red laces, red suspenders, etc. I had never grown up in that stereotypical environment of racial bias or hatred that the media has portrayed of the south for decades. My mother instilled upon me a love for all people, and animals , no matter of color or creed. I never heard any derogatory statements from my family about black people or any others as I was growing up. This was actually new to me, “people hate me b.c. of my skin color???”.

Having these symbols on myself did help and I felt more empowered to walk taller and not be afraid (although I should have been!!) . I really did not ascribe to the beliefs that neo Nazi’s held, I only knew that after the barrage of hatred towards my person and seeing what I’d been seeing happen to others , more of the same of whats happened to me, everywhere. The mall, out in school gatherings, at school. The black kids used violence and intimidation, without any backlash, to torture and start fights with the “rednecks” or white kids. Teachers did nothing, per usual.

So I eventually stopped wearing all the Nazi gear, and I suppose I was still weird for MS, but all through my life living down south, I can tell you that I have NEVER seen white on black violence, or racial attacks. I have ONLY seen black on white aggression. I have seen white kids retaliate by using racial epitaphs, while trying to run off, but that’s the extent of it. Always , started by blacks.

Later, in my 20’s I moved to Atlanta, GA to go to Paul Mitchell the School with my best friend at the time who was going there as well. I lived in a nice pocket, in a gay community, that was clean and safe by a very nice park that I regularly took my dog to with my boyfriend at the time. The line that you did not cross was a block or so up , Ponce De Leon, a main street. However, I had to cross it every day on my way to anywhere and above that Ponce line, there was , what looked to be, government housing for a span of two blocks. Every day that I would drive through this street, there was the same group of blacks, sitting on their stoop, in groups of about 7-10. These were the same folks, day in , day out. I had the habit of waving as I went by, as one or two of them did so as well, regularly. At the time, I believe I was under the impression that I was “safe” . I believed, like most folks, that they see me every day, and we are in the same community and we have a kind of repertoire. That may hold true in white communities, but the line of liberal thinking that we are all the same, is dangerous and as you know, has proven to ruin lives and end in death on many occasions.

So, one day, late in the afternoon, I was driving home with my boyfriend in the passenger seat , and as I was driving by the apartment complex where the black folks (all in their teens or twenties, and a few older) liked to hang out on their porch, or stoop, I come up with them all on my right, and suddenly one of the guys, pushes a young child , maybe 2 or 3 years of age, into the street to walk across my lane. I was forced to slam on my brakes, and as I did so, immediately, from seemingly out of nowhere, a black guy comes up on my drivers side door, and reaches to my door handle with his left hand and his right hand simultaneously reaching into the front of his pants waist. I didn’t give it a second thought, and luckily I have always been wary enough to drive with locked doors, I slammed it into 1st gear and sped off, running the red light at Ponce De Leon. I’m lucky we weren’t killed in any of those situations. I would also like to note, that I was extremely lucky that the child wasn’t in the road any longer, as I would have killed him when I sped out of there!!! I have never seen anything like this or heard of it before and it BAFFLES my mind to use a child in your criminal activity where the child could have been KILLED!! I am curious to know what would have happened if I had run the child over, I would have gotten a murder charge and I’m so very positive that the criminals would have not gotten anything. I would have been a murderer because some thugs decided to use their little brother, nephew, or SON to carjack someone they see every day, who waves at them and tried to maintain a friendly community spirit.

Besides that experience in Atlanta, a chocolate city, I was subject to sexual advances, harassment, had been followed, touched, so on and so forth just about every day, at any location. I am extensively tattooed and I got a lot of blacks saying to me this same thing ” ooh girl, you tatted up, you must be a freak in bed! gimme yo number girl” , all day every day.. Completely frightening and very aggressive tactics were used to try and get me alone or get me to give them my phone number. who does this stuff work on, anyway?! haha

I promptly moved back home to Mississippi, after a year and a half of Atlanta. I felt scared every day, I couldn’t get out of my car to get gas without having someone make an advance of some sort. It was just torture, each day, and fear for my life in some way.

Letter from a White Kid in a Black Neighborhood.

Dear Colin,

I realize my story is just one of many and is not special but thanks for letting me share my story. My parents got divorced when I was 6, with my mom and 2 older brothers we moved into a community in which we were one of 5 white families in a black neighborhood.

My mom like many parents mistakingly wanted us to grow up with many races and nationalities. Our first night our patio furniture was stolen. Our 2nd night, 5 black people broke into our apartment in Laurel, MD and broke my moms nose and put me and my brothers in a choke hold while we were also robbed. I was 6 and my brothers were 8 and 11.

For the next 2 years we were bullied, beat and jumped at a minimum of 20 times by blacks who were atleast 5 years older than us. After a few years we moved to Riverdale, MD where my family friends were jumped about 20 more times usually because we were white as we were told that many times. The crazy thing is these black people lived in our neighborhood but if we were ever messed with by an outsider, we were defended by the same people who were treating us like dirt.

One night when I was 12 and playing basketball by myself I was jumped again, this being the first time I was knocked out unconscious by 3 guys who were atleast 21. I have seen beatings, stabbing, shootings and one night a murder when a black guy took a knife and stabbed his girlfriend as atleast 30 people watched this girl get beat.

As I got older and wanted to go out dancing, drinking and picking up women in DC and Baltimore, I can’t count the number of times we were tried but we were smarter and would never go without a group. In a group, usually these same black wouldn’t take it to the next level because they didn’t out number their victim. Only myself and middle brother out of 20 or so of my friends didn’t get into drugs, alcohol or another abusive addictive substance.

All of us still remember and talk about our childhood from time to time especially when some bogus media clip comes out, we just laugh. I believe all of us have every right to be a racist although I can’t speak for all white people, I would bet people who grew up like me we still give a black person the benefit of the doubt when we have every reason to be racist.

Thank you for doing what you do and I apologize in advance for the run on sentence and grammar but the things boil my blood. I even think of unfriending you and unsubscribe on you tube because how I feel and the memories it brings up but I can’t because I am not and will not be someone who hides or holds my tongue which has gotten me in trouble many times.

Colin,

You are doing important work. I am going to read your books and do my best to get the word out about you. You release much needed info. I was on the front lines as it all began.

Here’s more reality for the mill:

*Circa 1981 Walker Junior High, Milwaukee WI

Alfonso (real name), a thickly muscled Black kid who generally wasn’t an outright bully(he was a thief) got into a fight with a White kid, Rick (pseudonym), whom I hated.

I hated the White kid because I saw him as a bit of a bully on the lower class-men. He never really beat anybody up from what I saw but he was a smart mouth who wouldn’t take crap and would entertain himself at another’s expense (I appreciate Rick in hindsight). He was tall.

Alfonso, on the other hand would let his physique do the talking as a veiled threat while he acted real smooth. He would then steal your watch while dressing after gym. He’d come up with crazy stories as to how he got it. If he was caught, you might even get your property back without an ass-whipping but you’d have to believe the story… He knew nobody would take issue with him.

Alfonso shoulder bumped Rick in the hallway between classes. This was a big NO NO at my school. Overcrowding be damned. If the lesser kid didn’t apologize immediately or give a “my fault” at the very least, he may get an ass whipping before the bell rings. No help would come.

Rick stood up for himself as the resident smiling smart ass. Alfonso was incredulous that Rick didn’t notice how muscular he was and cower as his bitch. Alfonso tried to hit the taller White kid and took a smack to his own head instead. This happened over and over again… I didn’t usually stay to watch fights as the fallout often got you pulled into something. I watched this one as Rick embarrassed Alfonso in front of 50 classmates. Even during the clinch, Rick got the better of the muscular Black kid. Rick was like a strong wire you could bend, only to be hit with the other end you thought was someplace else.

Alfonso pulled a large knife. Rick’s hands went up and he stood back as they circled. Rick took the first opportunity to run through a door and Alfonso chased him down the hall like he really would kill him. I didn’t see the end, as it was out of my sight and the bell was sure to ring.

The Black Vice-Principal questioned all witnesses and really cross examined us, putting us through our paces. He wanted us to say “we only heard he had a knife.” I wouldn’t say it because I saw the damn thing.

The White kid was suspended. I do not believe Alfonso missed even one day of school as his advocate saw to his defense. My “testimony” of events was either thrown out or misquoted for the record. Rick had no advocate.

Alfonso should have gone to prison. He didn’t even get suspended.

Whites got into trouble for defending themselves. Especially if they won. It was stressful.

Colin, saw your video ‘White Girl Bleed A Lot’. I have run two clubs in Aiken County SC. One was robbed twice at gun point by blacks.

The second time they robbed the customers too. I let some other people run the club after that. The other club was taken over by blacks on our best night – Saturdays.

About a year after they did, there were gunshots in the parking lot. A month later a fight started and a black guy ran out to his car, grabbed a gun, came back in and shot someone, then shot into the crowd.

A month later a fight started inside by black girls and a black guy ran outside and shot someone in the parking lot, The city closed us down.

Dear Mr. Flaherty,

I would first like to start by letting you know that I have not read your books, but I have listened to many of your YouTube videos as of now. I would definitely like to purchase your books so if you could send me a link to purchase them I would love to.

Now as for my stories, I have three that I could tell you that have occurred in the past year. I will start with the most recent. Just three weeks ago, I was walking home from a bar in my town. My town is a suburb of Philadelphia named Ardmore. Many of the people on the opposite side of town are extremely wealthy, but on my side it is a little more blue-collar/lower-middle class. It is very well-kept, and crime free for the most part. There is a large section on my side that is black, but far from ghetto. Unfortunately it seems as if many of the young males here are ashamed that they are not from the type of area that their favorite rappers glamorize, so they feel the need to make up for it expressing themselves in a very undesirable way.

I was walking home alone from the bar at about 1:00 AM and there was a group of about 7 black males in their early twenties walking toward me. One of them ran toward me at full speed. I made a split-second analysis of the situation and put my hands up in defense with the assumption that he was about to assault me. Instead he smacked a sign that was above my head, to which him and his friends found hilarious. As I walked away, they began to talk amongst themselves for a second. They then said “act like you would have done something, pussy”. I responded in a non-aggressive, yet assertive tone saying “Why are you guys talking shit to me when there’s seven of you and it’s only me? Chill.” They all began to chase me. Thankfully I was right near my mother’s apartment and she keeps her doors unlocked so I was able to escape. The neighbors came out and scared them away but the cops never came.

The second story I have is from about ten months ago. I was living with my mother at the time and I heard a bunch of commotion going on outside that resembled a fight of numerous people. I heard my mother run past my window screaming “get the fuck off of him I’m calling the police!” I quickly get dressed and run outside to see two black males assaulting two white males and the white males’ girlfriends getting in the middle trying to intervene. Three additional black males ran away when my mother initially yelled. The remaining two black males kept forcefully shoving the women who kept running into their path as they tried to assault the women’s boyfriends. I got myself into the mix and kept telling the black males “cut it the fuck out, its over.” They ignored me a few times and kept trying to hit the men. Finally, I said it very sternly. One of the black men said “excuse me?!” and pretended like he was going to swing at me. I put my hands up and immediately started throwing punches at him. He kept backing up as I assume he was very surprised by my aggression. The other black male punched me on the side of the head and they both ran while the cops simultaneously arrived. Both of the men were caught and arrested. My mother attempted to serve as a witness to this crime but when she went to the courthouse, apparently one of the black men’s fathers were acquainted with the staff of the courthouse so they were never tried and the cases were dropped all together.

I could not agree more with your standpoint on the issue of race in America. I am very regularly met with violent and unwelcoming energy from black people for no reason whatsoever. I have had a few conversations with black people about the current situation of race relations, and they truly believe that all white Americans are to be held responsible for the actions of all of the white people throughout history. But that it is racist to generalize any black person in any sort of fashion whatsoever. There is no logic in their views. As long as it benefits their immediate desires and supports their victimization fetish, they take that view and stand behind it. I am very far from what people like to say is “racist” but I am realistic and use the methods of learning I have acquired of the years. I am sick of this crap.
