Letter from a former cop and gun instructor.
Hey Colin,
I’ve been meaning to drop you a line for some time now. First, let me say you’re doing a great job! I’ve been banging this drum for a very, very long time.
Many months ago, I was a Deputy Sheriff in Florida. I eventually became a Police Officer in a city in Florida that you feature in your videos.
Buddy, I could tell you some stories.
I have also been an NRA certified firearms instructor for over 20 years.
I left police work long ago for another job, so I would teach the basic pistol course in my spare time and certify people so they could acquire a Concealed Weapons/Firearms License.
For years now, I have promoted the idea of people protecting themselves and paying attention the their surroundings.
At one time, I was a manager with my company, where I did a lot of work in and out of DC and often times I would travel to Wilmington for meetings..
Interestingly, out of all of my travels, the closest I’ve ever come to being jacked was walking back from a bar to the hotel in Wilmington.
I had my piece with me (illegally of course) and I knew exactly how it was going to turn out; I shoot, they die, I go to prison for having a gun and using it while being robbed. Luckily another vehicle came along which gave me enough time to slip behind a church and work my way back to the hotel without incident.
I grew up in Jacksonville, FL, so I know the backstory on a lot of the news personalities that I see on your channel.
I used to call and raise hell with them about their lack of full disclosure.
My wife and I live in Georgia now, so we get to watch the daily Denial, Deceit and Delusion of the local stations, especially WSB.
I saw one of your videos of you on the range. It looked like you were shooting a S&W model 10 or 13.
Good gun.
I started out in police work carrying a wheel gun so I’m quite fond of them.
Of course, I love my collection of autos as well.
If you ever have a gun question, don’t hesitate to give me a shout. I’ve never considered myself an expert, but I’ll do my best.
Oh, and I was fortunate enough to get my DINDU NUFFINN coffee mug before TeaSpring said they could no longer sell them.
