Letter from Washington, D.C.

Colin,

Today an older “65 yr old” friend of mine was out running some errands and he became a victim of black racism.

He said that as he was making a turn at a red light a black teen ran up to his car and tried to spit in his face through the open window, but he sped off before the black teen could get close enough to make contact and the spit landed on the back window instead.

I had him take me to the spot where this had just happened but the boy was gone. My friend said that the main thing that freaked him out the most about the incident was the fact that the black youth had a total look of hatred in his eyes. He said the boy looked as though he was in a fit of rage.

xx
