Letter from an abused white high school girl.

Hello Colin,

Due to the amount of violence, I couldn’t fit it all in a tweet. I’m currently 18 now, it all started when I was 17.

I went to West Stanley high school, which had very little “diversity” after my sophomore year I was transferred to Albemarle High, yes the same school that had a shooting a few years back.

I was transferred to AHS because the school was about to be shut down due to the lack of white students. So the school board started changing the school districts around so white kids would be bussed to the predominantly black school, I happened to be one of them. While blacks were bussed out to the surrounding county schools.

During my first week there, I noticed there was only about 40-50 white students, myself included, while the rest were Hispanic and Black. I was generally the only white student in every class I had.

After about a week, I had become a target, I was slammed into lockers and called a “stupid white bitch” nearly everyday. I was body slammed every other day by students who’s names I didn’t know. The teachers saw this but nothing was said in fear to “make the black kids angry.”

Though, I didn’t always get vengeful comments and slurs thrown at me, sometimes it was “AY YO SHAWTY SHO ME YA T*TS!” And other various perverted phrases. During my time at AHS I grew to fear for my life. I started carrying a Brutus self defense keychain in one pocket and a switchblade in my bra. I never had to use it, but it gave me a small amount of security.

I developed extreme anxiety and depression through all these ordeals, to the point I’d nearly have a mental breakdown every Monday morning.

I once used the female bathroom by myself, which was a terrible idea, as 3 black male ‘kids’ grabbed me as soon as I went inside. The only thing that saved me was a hard knee to the crotch and the SARC whistle I have at all times around my neck. This was one thing I never told anyone, but I feel like you might get some use out of it.

At one point I was late to class, barely 5 minutes. I was not 5 ft from the classroom before my books were knocked out of my hands and I was nearly punched in the face, due to my PTSD I have a quick blocking reflex and the hit landed on my shoulder instead. The teacher watched all this happen, and after I had collected myself and my things, told me to go to detention. For being late.

We had multiple lockdowns, about 1-3 times a week, they were never reported to parents. Mostly for fights, and stabbings, and drugs… The usual. We weren’t allowed to carry back packs or bags with us because someone could bring a gun. So we had to carry all our supplies by hand.

During a blood drive, which I attended, a teacher was stabbed for trying to break up a fight, and had to be rushed off to the hospital. Many students and teachers saw, recorded and talked about the incident. This will be important later, please bare with me, there is a lot to cover.

At this point my friend, another white girl, was also being tormented in the same way. We both decided enough was enough and tried to either change districts or be homeschooled. I went to the guidance many times, and was told “Just hang in there it’s not that bad.” Or “I’ll look into it but, I’m not really seeing the issue.”

My father, who I love dearly and tell him pretty much everything, got fed up and we decided to homeschool with my friend. Upon telling the guidance why we were attempting to be homeschooled, acted like nothing happened and that I was making every thing up. Even though I had bruises to prove everything.

During the meeting, I recounted about the teacher who was stabbed get glared at by the counselor, my dad was at work and was on speaker with me and the guidance ‘counselor’ who was ‘down with the cause’. Before telling my dad it never happened even though the video was being shared around school and I had shown my father.

Right before I dropped out which was around January, the Vice principal, who was arrested a few months later after I left for selling heroine to students, told me I couldn’t leave for homeschooling because I wouldn’t make it. So I dropped out along with my friend, I was the 12th white student to do so.

I got my GED, which is now called something else, and got a job. I’m doing much better away from that place. I intend to go to college and become an author, or animator. My Father, who was the one who introduced me to your channel, had to deal with most of this firsthand.

Thank you for taking time to show the truth of this world.

xx
